Taking the ferry to Staten Island had always been for me the thing to do when going to NYC. Not only the cheapest way to have a dramatic view on the lower end of Manhattan and the WTC, but also the memory of stunning pictures like the one taken by Depardon in 1981, with umbrellas fighting against rain and wind.
