Taken in 1978 during my first visit ever to the US/NYC. The two towers seemed so incredibly tall and sleek that they seemed daunting and almost unreal. A couple of years later I was back in New York and went up to the Windows of the World restaurant on the 106th/107th floor. Looking down through the glass windows reaching all the way down to the floor gave me sweaty palms. Years later I happened to switch on the TV on Sept 11 and at first thought that I had zapped into a scifi movie … the rest is unsavoury history.
