Our first visit to the WTC was shortly after it was built, and before the public observation roof opened. We got chatting to a guy in a bar in Christopher Street who said he worked for AT&T and they had an office on the 82nd floor. He then took us on an unofficial visit.

It was dusk and the view magical – and he was wearing tight brown leather trousers which I also remember with pleasure!
