The image was taken in August 1970 while the WTC South Tower was under construction. It was just a few weeks before entering my final year as a student at the University of Colorado School of Architecture. Although I did not work directly on the World Trade Center project, my summer job was with the New York New Jersey Port Authority Transportation Division, located at 30 Church Street, a building that would soon be demolished to complete the World Trade Center complex. It was a special time at a special place.
