In june 1988 a friend and I visited New York and so the WTC was a must for us. As a joke we both took a picture one from another hanging on the top of the WTC… It looks dangerous, but it wasn’t at all – there was another platform just some meters down. But the security guy was really not amused and he stopped us doing those foolish things – but the pictures were already taken at the moment… :-)

Im Juni 1988 besuchten ein Freund und ich New York und so war Top of New York auf dem WTC verständlicherweise ein „Must“. Natürlich musste ein aussergewöhnliches Foto (Dia) her – und so hingen wir ans Geländer und fotografierten uns gegenseitig. Es sieht gefährlich aus, war es aber ganz und gar nicht. Schlimmstenfalls wären wir ein paar Meter tiefer gestürzt – und da war noch eine weitere (nicht öffentliche!) Plattform, welche uns aufgefangen hätte (und von welcher man uns sicher wieder abgeholt hätte…). Trotzdem hatte die Security gar keine Freude an unserer tollen Idee und ist laut und wild fuchtelnd auf uns zugestürzt. Glücklicherweise waren die Bilder bereits im Kasten… :-)
